About Josh Hunter | Multidisciplinary Artist & Visual Storyteller

Josh Hunter is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and storyteller whose work bridges the mythic past with the pulse of modern pop culture.

After graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Hunter gained national acclaim with the release of The 27s: The Greatest Myth of Rock & Roll, a 312-page illustrated odyssey exploring the enduring legacy of musicians who passed at 27. The book became a cult favorite, cementing Hunter’s reputation for visual storytelling with soul, symbolism and edge.

Known for his concert posters that blend traditional techniques with bold contemporary design, Hunter’s signature style has been commissioned by Warners Music Group, Live Nation, The Fillmore Auditorium, Omnivore Recordings, Strolling Bones Records and most recently he created the Eagles at Anaheim Stadium 1975 commemorative poster released with the band’s One of These Nights Deluxe Box Set.

Today, Hunter brings his layered aesthetic to a wide range of creative arenas—from commercial illustration and character design to bespoke visual identities and immersive brand experiences. With every line and concept, he continues to expand his own mythology—one that lives at the intersection of music, memory and myth-making.
